| Commemorative Medal was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917 – 1921 and the creation of the first central bank of Ukraine. One of the first legislative acts of the Central Council of the Ukrainian People’s Republic was the law on the establishment of the Ukrainian State Bank, which played an important role in the liberation competitions of Ukrainians of those years, as well as in gaining their own experience of banking. |

 | On the obverse of the coin there are: above – the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription semicircle – NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE; the octagonal cartridge depicts allegorical female figures in the mirror, symbolizing trade, wealth, prosperity, power and generosity and holding an expanded scroll depicting the National Bank of Ukraine emblem.
