According to the Resolution of the National Bank of Ukraine No. 118 of September 26, 2019, the transitional period of introduction of the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) was extended until January 12, 2020.
After the transition period, namely, starting on 01/13/2020, only IBAN accounts will be used to make payments to Ukrainian banks.
During the transition period (from 05.08.2019 to 12.01.2020) the Bank’s clients will be able to specify in the details of the settlement documents both the current account number and the bank code and the account number in the IBAN standard.
IBAN.
IBAN – Standard No. 13616 of the International Organization for Standardization of ISO and European Banking Standards Committee ECBS – International Bank Account Number.
Each country sets the IBAN account number structure on its own, following the requirements of ISO 13616.
For Ukraine, IBAN consists of 29 alphanumeric characters: country code, check digit, bank code and account number.
