From September 1, 2016, the National Bank of Ukraine will put into circulation a commemorative circulation coin “20 years of monetary reform in Ukraine” with a face value of 1 hryvnia, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of an extremely important event that has already become the property of our state – the introduction of Ukraine’s national currency. hryvnia.

 

The 1 hryvnia coin is made of aluminum bronze, the minting quality category is uncirculated, weight is 6.8 g, diameter is 26.0 mm, circulation is 60,000 pieces (of which: 10,000 in the “Coins of Ukraine” set, 50 000 in a souvenir package). The group of coins contains inscriptions: ONE HRYVNA / 2016, which are separated from each other by dots.

 

The obverse of the coin depicts the small State Emblem of Ukraine, at the bottom the year of minting – 2016, in the frame of the ancient Russian ornament in three lines the inscription: UKRAINE / 1 / HRYVNA, as well as the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin there is a stylized composition: one hryvnia coin on the background of one hryvnia banknotes and inscriptions: MONETARY REFORM IN UKRAINE (above in a semicircle), 20 / YEARS and the hryvnia sign ₴ (below).
